Trauma Center Trauma Sensitive Yoga Foundational Workshop ONLINE, LIVE, INTERACTIVE

  • Copenhagen Denmark (map)

This 20-hour Foundational Trauma Sensitive Yoga workshop will introduce participants to the key concepts, methods of this empirically validated intervention for Complex Trauma - Trauma Centre, Trauma Sensitive Yoga (TCTSY).

TCTSY is an evidence-based adjunctive treatment for complex trauma and complex Posttraumatic Stress Disorder and is the only yoga-based practice endorsed by SAMSHA (Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration in the USA). TCTSY was developed in collaboration with the Trauma Center Boston beginning in 2003 and is the foundational program of the Center for Trauma and Embodiment within the Justice Resource Institute. TCTSY is utilised with children, youth, and adults throughout the US and in dozens of countries around the world. This weekend training qualifies as the prerequisite for the 300-hour Trauma Center Trauma Sensitive Yoga certification program.

Individuals completing this training will also learn how existing in systems of systemic oppression creates and perpetuates trauma, the impacts of trauma on the brain, body, and relationships, and how to develop a trauma-sensitive lens based on these understandings.

This workshop is relevant for:
