A workshop for yoga teachers and mental health professionals.
The yoga program run by the Trauma Centre at Justice Resource Institute has helped thousands of people dealing with complex trauma and persistent post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), from survivors of chronic abuse to war veterans.
Research conducted by the Trauma Centre showed that the Trauma Centre Trauma-Sensitive Yoga (TCTSY) model significantly reduced symptoms of PTSD.
David Emerson, the founder of the Trauma Center Trauma Sensitive Yoga (TCTSY) model, will be presenting a 4 day workshop for those who wish to bring elements of TCTSY to their students or clients.
This workshop is intended to help and inspire yoga teachers to make their current yoga teaching more trauma-informed, you learn
• The latest trauma theories & neurophysiology
• Theoretical underpinnings & methodology of TCTSY model
• Experience & practice teaching using principles from the TCTSY model

Non-Clinical Yoga Teachers: This workshop does not qualify non-clinical yoga teachers to offer trauma services, including TCTSY.
